How to Fill Preferences

The most Common Questions among Specialist Officers Aspirants these days is "How Should i consider banks for Filling Preferences ?". Well there is no single perfect answer to this question as every pseron may have different marks, priorities and different thoughts behind filling preferences. Yet we are noting some most common points to be considered while filling preferences.

  • If you have Above Average (64% Marks), Then the allotment is nearly sure, so you should go for Banks with More repute than others. For example, PNB, Bank of Baroda, Central Bank of India, Canara Bank, Bank of India, Union Bank of India, Corporation Bank, oriental Bank of Commerce, Allahabad and Syndicate Bank are considered having more number of assets, Good Management and Larger amount of overall Business. So you should try to get a good bank by filling preferences accordingly if you have good marks. Number of vacancies should Not be Given too much Emphasis in this case.
  • For Relatively Low Scores - For those with Relatively Less TWS (Under 64%), first priority is to get an Allotment in any of participating banks. So, number of vacancies does matters. Go for banks with more vacancies in your profile.
  • For Home Posting - Although IBPS is not asking preferences for posting Locations, still you may go for banks with more branches in your town, it will increase your chances of getting posted Nearby. You may use URLs like http://www.ratekhoj.com/bank-branches/ to find number of branches of any bank in your Area/Town. However, the bank may post you anywhere based upon its requirements and you should be ready for continuous mobility for initial years.

Different people may have different ideas for the same topic, still these are the basic things to be kept in mind while giving preferences. Do fill them carefully as you'll get a bank and will stay with it for the time to come.

Impact of Common Interviews

Now the recruitment process takes very less time and accuracy is also very high. The process is fast and fair. In Previous year there were lot of issues of multiple selections of a single candidate as there was no coordination among banks and as a result, they had to issue multiple selection lists and sometimes even conduct special rounds of interviews.

The problem has been totally eliminated now and one candidate will only get one time allotment to any of banks. So, There will be 4461 New Specialist Officers that banking Industry will get by the end of July 2013.

For those looking for next Specialist Officersl CWE Exams in 2013, keep your preparations on a high note to get selected through the Fast and Fair selection process. The Notices for same are about to come in next 3 months or so.

All The Best!
