Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is inviting online applications from eligible candidates for admission in Combined Higher Secondary Level (10+2) Examination, 2017 to recruit on 3259 posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant on permanent basis.

Candidates willing to undergo this examination may apply online from 18-11-2017 to 18-12-2017. Candidates must go through notification carefully and satisfy themselves of their suitability with regards the essential qualifications for the posts and the age limits before filling online form.

Applicants must have scanned image of photograph and signature in specified format and E-mail id & Mobile number at the time of filling online form.

Last date of online application: 18-12-2017.

Date of Computer Based Examination (Tier-I) : 04-03-2018 to 26-03-2018.

Date of Tier-II Examination (Descriptive Paper): 08-07-2018.

 

Selection Procedure :

This examination process will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Typing Test/ Skill Test (Tier-III).

Scheme of Examination: Computer Based Examination: Tier-I (Objective Type).

There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.

Tier-II (Descriptive Paper): Tier-II Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in duration of the paper would be for one hour. Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words and Letter/ Application of approximately 150-200 words.

Tier-III Examination: Tier-III of the Examination would be the Skill Test/ Typing Test which would be of qualifying nature.

Skill Test for Data Entry Operator: Data Entry Speed of 8,000 Key Depressions per hour on Computer. Final merit of the successful candidates would be determined on the basis of total score obtained by them in Tier-I and Tier-II.

 

Fee Structure :

Application fee of Rs.100/- for General & OBC candidates is to be paid by SBI Challan/ Net banking/ Visa/ Mastercard/ Maestro Credit/ Debit card. No fee for Women candidates of all categories, SC, ST, PwD and Ex-servicemen.

Candidates, willing to apply for this examination, are requested to apply only through provided online mode before the due date of 18-12-2017. Before filling online form, candidates should read all instruction carefully as mentioned in notification.

Applicants should fill details in the online form at the appropriate place very carefully and upload their scanned copy of passport size photograph and signature. After submission of online form, candidate should take a print out of the online form, and keep with safely for future reference.
